Women with Moxy: Kimly Scott

Tell us a little more about yourself...

I’m just a regular person trying to make my mark in this world. I’m a mum of two girls, I’m a sister, a daughter, a wife. My family is my whole world and everything I do; I do for them. Oh, and I create some cool visualizations from time to time too :)

Was there a moment when you first realized you had Moxy?

I think this was a gradual process. The more I found my voice and the more I shared my work and passions with the world, the more I believed that my moxy could make a difference.

Tell us about a time when your Moxy has impacted your life...

A few years ago, I dropped everything and moved my husband and my daughter (who was two years old at the time) from our home in Melbourne to Singapore, not knowing what to expect or whether it would end in disaster. It didn't end in disaster, and I am so happy I made the decision I did, because I wouldn’t be the person I am today without that experience.

Share something unsuspecting about you, what would people be surprised to know?

I am a huge wimp. I scare easily so I can’t watch scary movies or listen to ghost stories. I can't even go on the Haunted House ride at my local amusement park.

How do you recharge your Moxy?

I recharge my moxy by being by myself. I just love being alone - to do whatever I want, eat whatever I want and listen to my crappy music really loudly. I’m a much better person after I’m able to have time alone.

What did you want to be when you were little?

I love space - I’m a big-time space nerd so when I was little, I wanted to be either an astronomer or an astronaut. I am just so fascinated by how big the universe is and how small we are in the scheme of things. Actually, as an adult, I still want to be both of those things!
