Tell us a little about yourself
I’m Diamond Nwankwo. I am a mother to Clarity and wife to Maduabuchi (AB). I am STL native. I am passionate about DEI, data literacy, and STEM advocacy. Currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Slalom Build in St. Louis, MO.
Was there a moment when you first realized you had moxy?
I realized my moxy when I decided to become the first college graduate and engineer in my family. I fell in love with engineering through a program I entered in high school through the St. Louis Science Center called Youth Exploring Science (YES).
Share one unsuspecting thing about yourself?
I piloted an airplane before I was ever a passenger in one…yes seriously. The YES program afforded me an opportunity to go to flight school. So I flew a Cessna from the Spirit of St. Louis Airport.
What’s something you read, watched or listened to that really resonated with you?
I’m a huge Drake fan so my most favorite song is Trophies.
